The Catholic Church invites you to be confirmed .In Confirmation, we are given the special gift of the Holy Spirit to unite us even more fully to the Church community
and to enrich us with the strength we need to witness to the Lord Jesus.
Were you baptized a Catholic, but have not received the sacrament of Confirmation? Are you a non-Catholic?
Adults being baptized as Catholics are confirmed at the same time.
Non-Catholic Christians being received into the Catholic Church are confirmed at the same time.
Catholic adults are confirmed usually at Eastertime.
How Long Does it take?
How long does it take an adult to be ready for Confirmation? The answer to this question is "it depends." Every journey in faith is individual. When an adult asks for Confirmation, his or her life experiences need to be taken into account. Each person discerns her or his readiness with the help of the St Catherine parish initiation team. Confirmation is usually celebrated during Eastertime. As the Lord Jesus said, "Come and see."
